FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASEA Music Tribute for the Heroes of 9/11A benefit album honoring the heroes of NYC and for the victims of 9/11South San Francisco, CA (May 13, 2002)—Since the tragedy of 9/11, Americans of all ethnicities has given thanks to the heroes who risked their lives in order to save the lives of other people. Now, the Asian American community has the chance to pay tribute to the heroes as well as help the victims of 9/11 with “Operation Ground Hero-A Tribute To The Heroes of NYC”. This benefit album will be released in stores on June 25, 2002 and proceeds will go to benefit the September 11th Fund and its efforts to assist the families directly affected by the WTC attacks. “Operation Ground Hero”, which is the first benefit album for the relief of 9/11 from the Asian American community, will feature Asian American major label artists along with independent artists. The album will feature songs by Billy Crawford, One Vo1ce, Devotion, April, Forte, Jocelyn Enriquez, LOURDS, Funny Little Island People, and more.
